The ECO Innovation Showcase is co-hosted by the Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and the Sustainable Energy Association. The event itself will provide an opportunity for those with innovative measures to meet obligated suppliers to discuss potential collaboration. The showcase will consist of a number of innovation pitches from a range of manufacturers, installers and suppliers to an audience of obligated suppliers. There will be sufficient time to network and build relationships which we hope will support the deployment of innovation through ECO.

The showcase will take place on Wednesday 6th February 2019 from 13:00 – 17:00 at the BEIS Conference Centre, 1 Victoria Street.

As a way of introducing the event, as you know obligated suppliers have the opportunity to deliver up to 10% of their obligation through delivering innovative measures to eligible households and this event will provide an opportunity to network with a wide range of stakeholders as well as hear pitches from interested innovative solutions and learn more about how the new ECO innovation routes will work.

The agenda for the event will be confirmed shortly although we anticipate that those pitching will have up to 5 minutes to highlight the benefits of the solution to obligated suppliers such as yourselves. It will include presentations from both BEIS and OFGEM about the innovation routes and will provide time for networking and more detailed discussions on the new ECO Innovation routes.

More information about innovation in ECO can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/energy-company-obligation-innovation-guidance. Ofgem will also shortly be publishing more detailed guidance on innovation.
