The Santander X Environmental Challenge is an initiative to support environmentally-committed entrepreneurs with innovative ideas to build a more sustainable future. The competition is split into two sections:
- Be Sustainable: encouraging green financing and investment. How does your sustainable financing and investment solution attract the people and investors who are looking to support economic activities with a positive environmental impact? How does your solution contribute to enabling investors or financial institutions to help companies take the initiative in the transition to a low-carbon economy?
- Be Mindful: raising awareness of the importance of reducing our environmental footprint. How does your solution help people and companies, including their supply chains, to reduce their environmental footprint? How can you help with solutions that improve the reinvention of companies and industries so that they can reduce their environmental impact and encourage biodiversity?
A group of international experts will assess participants and their solutions, and will select twenty finalists. These will be invited to present their projects to an international panel of leading experts in sustainability, entrepreneurship, and global investment on 26 April 2021. Six winners, three in each category, will receive EUR 20,000 to develop their projects further, tailored mentoring from experts in the Oxentia Foundation’s network, as well as maximum visibility in Santander and Oxentia’s media channels and social media.
